Double Agent was created by Dean Anderson, a resident of Pacific Palisades, LA and Palisades Charter High School student. Dean is quite shy and not very attractive. He is not a member of the elite: he does not belong to the football team, he is not a sportsman, not successful with girls, he is not too cool for school, he is a nerd. Over time, Dean creates a character of himself inspired by his favorite film: Point Break. Dean emulates his idols Johnny Utah and Bodhi and carves a career that blends perfectly with his greatest passion, surfing. After his grandmother passes away, Dean inherits a small garage near the beach in Pacific Palisades. He initially uses the shack as a stockroom for his memories and surfboards.
One morning, during a heavy swell meets Daniele Andreotti. This is the son of Italian immigrants that after closing their textile factory in Veneto region specialized in garment dye sail way to achieve the American dream. The coincidence of the initials of the names, surfing and other things in common, bring a beautiful friendship between Dean and Daniele. Their first night together, Dean and Daniele decided to put the old garage shop into using the formula “Tinto in Capo” of Andreotti grandparents: faded prints, washed out Garments, vintage effects… Double Agent was an immediate success, moving the borders of California and inspiring generations of young people from 1991 to the present day.
