Burgan Bank recently organized an internal blood donation campaign, which took place at the Bank’s head office in collaboration with the Central Blood Bank and the Ministry of Health (MOH). Organized within the framework of the Bank’s social responsibility program and in an effort to promote a culture of community service and social contribution amongst the Burgan Bank team, the initiative was aimed at supporting the Blood Bank maintain its supply of much-needed blood in all types.
More than 80 Bank employees took part in this latest campaign, where more than 60 bags of blood were collected across all blood types. The organizing team, from Burgan Bank, MOH and the Central Bank, also ensured that all health regulations and guidelines were followed at every stage of the process as per recommendations from Ministry of Health (MOH).
Speaking about the initiative, Reema Al-Asbahi, Senior Manager - Internal Communication and Employee Engagement at the Bank: “This initiative is important in more ways than one, as it continues to be a key initiative within our larger strategic social responsibility program. In addition to raising awareness of the importance of regular blood donation, the campaign also underscores our team’s commitment to play an active social role within the community – as we continue to foster this culture within our employee population for the sake of both their personal and professional development.
