Pistachio loaf cake with an orange blossom royal icing
Ingredient:
190 g butter
190 g sugar
190 g Flour
3 Eggs
200 ml Sour cream style Khoury
1 tsp baking powder
Pinch of salt
150 G Pistachio powder
1 tsp Vanilla
Almond essence
Method
Step 1:
In a bowl, beat the butter and sugar until pale and creamy
Step 2:
Add the eggs once at a time, beat well between each addition
Step 3:
Add the sour cream and vanilla to the batter
Step 4:
Sift flour, salt and baking powder
Add this mixture to the batter in 2 batches, beat on low speed until just incorporated
Step 5:
Incorporate manually the powdered pistachios and almond or pistachios essence.
Step 6:
Pour the batter in a well greased loaf pan.
Step 7:
Bake in a preheated oven for 40 to 50 minutes
Orange blossom icing:
1 Egg white
1 1/3 cups powdered sugar
Pinch of salt
1 Tsp orange blossom water
Pink colorant or beetroot juice
Beat the egg white then gradually add the sugar until smooth and creamy, add salt and orange blossom essence, few drops of pink colorant and beat again.
