This rice dish can be served with shredded chicken, turkey, or lamb shanks.
Rez 3a dhej Recipe:
Start by cooking your chicken.
Shred & keep its water.
Set aside.
You need:
3 cups of rice
I used 2 cups basmati rice & 1 cup Egyptian rice.
Rinse very well and soak in water for 30 min.
In a skillet:
1 tbs vegetable oil & a small piece of butter.
Add 1/2 kilo minced meat.
Add the spices:
1 tbs cinnamon
1 tsp 7-spices
1/4 tsp black pepper & salt.
Cook very well. Add the washed rice and mix well.
Add around 6 cups of chicken water.
Cook on medium-low heat until the rice is cooked. It takes around 20 min.
Fry nuts (cashew, pines, almond) with vegetable oil. 1/4 cup of each.
Aside, you can serve it with Salad, fattush or laban.
