Burgan Bank is participating in Ooredoo Business Football Tournament, a sports event organized for employees of private and public sector companies in Kuwait. The Bank's participation in the tournament comes as part of its efforts to foster the sports culture, within the community at large and amongst its team specifically. This comes in line with its social responsibility strategy to achieve positive change through sports.
Speaking about the tournament, Mr. Hamed Al Humaud, Senior Manager of Procurement at the Bank, said: “At Burgan Bank, we are keen to invest in major opportunities that allow us to positively impact our internal culture and our community as a whole. This remains a key responsibility for us as a leading financial institution. We also believe that positive change starts within and then spreads outwards to external audiences.”
Adding: “The Ooredoo business football tournament is one of the biggest events of its kind in Kuwait dedicated to corporate teams and employees, and is a great experience for our team. This initiative promotes sportsmanship, healthy competition, and social interaction through sports. Which is why we are eager to be a part of it and to have our employees actively promote a stronger sports culture in Kuwait through their participation in it.”
It serves to note that Burgan Bank remains eager in its efforts to champion sports in Kuwait and promote its positive impact on social development. The Bank continues to maintain a robust program of sports events and initiatives year-round, as a core part of its social responsibility strategy.
