As the American Institution of Kuwait (AUK) opened its doors to students, the university offered two orientation events for newly enrolled students in the Undergraduate Program and the Intensive English Program (IEP), respectively. The orientation days were intended to acquaint students with the AUK community and college life, as well as to make them enthused about the new university atmosphere.
The students were guided by a university staff member through some of the campus facilities, including the newly opened building that houses classrooms, a theatre, a media studio, and a restaurant, followed by a visit to the admissions and registrar's offices, where respective staff members talked to the students about their services.

The students next went to the AUK Library, where a librarian walked them through the facilities in the same way. All of these excursions will help students prepare for their forthcoming academic adventure, which will undoubtedly be both thrilling and instructive.
In addition to the campus café and theatre, the groups were brought to the liberal arts and sciences buildings, which include more classrooms and labs. The groups were shown the Student Center Building, where they could enjoy the campus gymnasium and student lounge, excellent for hanging out in between courses, to round up the tour of the University's recreational amenities.
The autumn semester at AUK began on September 26th online, but students will return to campus for in-person instruction later this month. We wish all new and returning students the best of success in their new academic year, and we hope they make the most of their in-person learning opportunities and return to campus!
