Kuwait Agro in collaboration with Carrefour, operated by Majid Al Futtaim in Kuwait, and the US Embassy, have inaugurated “The American Truck”. The new shop-in-shop concept aims at highlighting and showcasing American made products. It was commenced in the presence of the Chargé d'Affaires Mr. Larry Memmott along with Kuwait Agro Business Development Manager Mr. Hadi Ghader, Carrefour Management and members of the Kuwait community.
Following the inauguration, attendees were given a tour around the store, in which Ghader highlighted the vast range of American products. According to Ghader, “The vision is to implant this concept across Mass Retailers in Kuwait. We believe highly in the quality and reliability of US products and accordingly take pride in exceptionally promoting them in Kuwait and the region”.
Commenting on the occasion, Chargé d'Affaires Mr. Larry Memmott said: “Every year, many Kuwaitis journey to the United States to study at our world-class educational institutions or visit our incredible tourist destinations. They return with a taste for their favorite American products. The American Truck Store will showcase more than 400 U.S. food and consumer products, providing customers with an opportunity to enjoy these unique products in Kuwait.”
Ahmed Mohamed, Country Manager of Carrefour Kuwait at Majid Al Futtaim Retail noted: “This shop in shop concept perfectly demonstrates how we create unique shopping experiences for our customers along with valuable partnerships.
