Kuwait International Bank (KIB) relaunched its annual Machla distribution initiative, in collaboration with the Kuwait Red Crescent Society (KRCS), during the upcoming Holy Month of Ramadan, as part of its dedicated efforts to serve the people of its community, especially underprivileged families. The Machla initiative is a key pillar of KIB’s traditional yearly Ramadan campaign, launched in sync with the spirit of mercy and giving during the month of fasting.
Commenting on this occasion, Fahad Alsarhan, Senior Manager from the Marketing Department and the Corporate Communications Unit at KIB, said: “The Machla distribution initiative is a genuine KIB effort to draw smiles on faces of families in need across Kuwait during this blessed month of giving. We are committed to working hand in hand with our Kuwait Red Crescent Society partners to positively impact the society we serve, as part of relentless efforts to promote values of social solidarity, community action and wellbeing.”
Alsarhan further explained that KIB employees directly took part in the initiative by preparing Ramadan Machla boxes, which contain essential food items and basic supplies. He added that the boxes were delivered to families in need to ensure they had enough quantities of the most basic supplies. This comes as part of KIB’s endeavors to allow KIB employees to participate in meaningful community activities, while also fostering actions that strengthen solidarity and social cohesion among diverse sectors of society.
It serves to note that KIB’s yearly Ramadan program falls in line with the Bank’s social community program that aims to support and positively impact families’ social well-being across different segments in Kuwait. The Machla and Iftar Meal distribution initiatives, which form an integral part of the program, consist of a series of humanitarian, religious, and charitable initiatives that are organized on a yearly basis to support the diverse segments of KIB’s local community.
