His Excellency Dr. Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi, the Minister of Climate Change and Environment for the United Arab Emirates, visited Al Rawabi Dairy Company, the largest UAE-based dairy company by herd size and production, to learn about the company’s best practices that will contribute to creating a sustainable environment in accordance with the UAE Vision 2021.
He was welcomed by HE Abdulla Sultan Al Owais, Chairman; Mr. Abdulla Ali Al Qubaisi, Vice-Chairman, and Dr. Ahmed El Tigani, Chief Executive Officer, and the management.
During his visit, HE Dr. Al Zeyoudi was given a detailed presentation about the company’s history and its line of dairy, juices and functional products. He also toured Al Rawabi’s farm, the factory and the Environmental Unit where he learnt about the eco-friendly system and wastewater treatment implemented by its fleet of engineers and doctors to help achieve the country’s sustainable development.
Commenting on the visit, HE Dr Al Zeyoudi said: “Sustainability, which is a key target of the UAE Vision 2021, can only be achieved through an enhanced public-private partnership and engaging the business community in the government’s plans and initiatives. This will expedite the achievement of our sustainable targets and promote innovation as a main pillar in the process.”

His Excellency Al Zeyoudi praised the company’s world-class operations which effectively employ modern technologies to make the production process more efficient and of high quality.

The visit also saw the exchange of discussion on future collaboration with the Minister’s office to ensure plans, strategies, policies, and programs are in line with the vision of the UAE leadership.
