Al Raha Beach Hotel is proud to announce the achievements of the hotel’s unique culinary squad at Gulfood 2018 Salon Culinaire for the third consecutive year. The team has triumphed by winning 7 medals at the largest culinary competition in the Guilds calendar.
Chef Abhilash Nadessan won three medals – a gold medal in cake decoration, a bronze medal in plated dessert and a merit medal for creating a petit four.
Chef Kaushal Sigh Rawat won a Silver medal for fish practical cookery.
Chef Lupita Antalo won a bronze medal in beef practical cookery.
Chef Thirupathi Goguloth and Chef Suneth Perera won merit medals for beef practical cookery.

Salon Culinaire competition is the largest of its kind in the Middle East and Africa region. It brings together 30 international judges to evaluate the professional chefs in various categories including ice carving, practical cookery, static displays, Emirati cuisine, cake decorating and showpiece categories.
Certificates were honored to the winning chefs whose exhibits, in the assessment of the judges, have reached the appropriate international standard.
Mandated by the World Association of Chefs Societies (WACS), the Salon Culinaire provides credible industry distinguishment to more than a thousand master chefs, pastry chefs, cooks and bakers.
